Welcome to the Wye Benefice

A group of ten Anglican churches

(Brook, Boughton Aluph, Elmsted, Hastingleigh, Hinxhill, Petham,  Stelling Minnis , Upper Hardres, Waltham and Wye)  in the Stour Valley between Ashford and Canterbury.

Special Services

On Wednesday 24 April 2024 at 7.30pm, The Reverend Dawn Stamper (left) will be formally welcomed into the Wye Benefice at a special licensing service to be held at the church of St Peter and St Paul, Upper Hardres.

​

Dawn will hold special responsibility for Petham, Waltham, Elmsted and Hastingleigh, in addition to the parishes of Stelling Minnis and Upper Hardres who have recently joined the Benefice.

​

These six churches will be known collectively as the Stone Street Group which is part of the United Wye Benefice.   Dawn’s first service as priest-in-charge will be the 9.30am Communion on Sunday 28 April at Hastingleigh.
